Early bio:

1990..... Laura first plays violin.

1993..... Won her first fiddle prize at the Aberfeldy Mod, playing Gaelic Air "My Brown haired maiden.

1996......won first prize in violin section of Dundee Festival of Traditional Music.

1998......Won the Musselburgh open fiddle championship.

1998.......First radio broadcast on Radio Scotland's "Take the Floor".

1998.......Won composer's prize for "Welcome to Angus Suite" sponsored by Angus Council.

1998.......Led the NYOS repertoire course.

1999.......Secured a place at the junior RSAMD.

1999.......premiered James Scott Skinner tune "Graham's Caber" on Grampian TV.

1999.......co-wrote script, music and lyrics for musical "Sam". Grampian TV.

1999.......began course at RSAMD, BA Hon (musical studies).

1999.......Won Robert Highgate Scholarship for violin at RSAMD.

2000.......Radio Scotland broadcast for Take the Floor.

2002......Live charity event "Spirit Aid". Appeared with Capercaillie, Echo and the Bunnymen, David Hayman, also arranged string quartet for artists and performed.

2003......Matt McGinn tribute concert in RSAMD. Performed with Shane MacGowan, Gary Lewis, David Hayman.

2003......Recorded charity single for Cancer Scotland, with Lisbon lions. the song "The Best Days of our lives". Charted at number 16 in UK charts. Appeared on Top of the pops with band.

2003.....Recorded another track for Cancer Scotland with Rod Stewart, Frankie Miller, and sang and arranged strings and solos featured on album.

2004.....Appeared on Broadway,Symphony Space with folk legend Pete Seeger, Phil Cunningham and Capercaillie at the Matt McGinn New York tribute on Tartan Day.USA
2004.....Did live radio and TV broadcast from New York about Tartan day.USA

2004....Guested on Lord of the Wing single with Shane MacGowan and Simple Minds.(single charted number 6 UK Indie charts )

2004.....Performed at film premiere of Lord of the Wing at SSEC Glasgow with Waterboys and Rolling Stones horn section. "Kick Horns".

2004......Performed at London, New York, and Dublin to raise funds for Jimmy Johnstone Motor Neurone charity.

2004......Appeared at Edinburgh Castles,Princes Gardens at Edinburgh International Festival for Big Issue benefit with Ibiza republic.

2005.....Performed live at Celtic Connections with Shane MacGowan at the Barrowlands, Glasgow.

2005.....Did solo performance at Celtic Connections show, with Irish star Brian Kennedy.

2005.....Played session on Runrig's new album.

2005.....Live appearance on Scottish Television, Scotsport in support of Tsunami appeal.
